Choreography & Rehearsals
Competitive choreography is cast by our program instructors and choreographers. Our program is unique in that dancers may not be cast for choreography in the same groupings/levels as their technique classes.
Our instructors and choreographers have our dancers’ best interests and strengths at the forefront when casting.
Families can set a limit on the quantity of dances their child joins to help manage affordability.Intensive dancers should expect weekend rehearsals and/or classes. Rehearsals require full attention, focus and commitment to succeed. If a dancer is absent, they are required to learn choreography and/or changes on their own time with a teammate before the next rehearsal.

"Is this for me?"
This is a committed, year-round program for dancers ages 7-18 with at least two years of dance experience (including 1 year of ballet) and requires strong dedication. It requires near-perfect attendance and steady weekly progress. Ideal for those with a passion for dance and a love of learning, the focus isn’t on trophies, but on building confidence, time management, and teamwork. Our goal is to develop well-rounded dancers who strive for their personal best while growing together as a cohesive group.

"Do I have to be good at everything?"
SIP dancers don’t need to excel in every style, but should be proficient in most and show strong ability in at least one. Younger dancers are assessed on potential—flexibility, strength, retention, effort, and maturity—rather than years of training. SIP includes multiple levels, from newcomers with potential to advanced dancers ready for a challenge. Students must be open to new styles and able to accept and apply feedback quickly.
