Jay Sumner

Jay started learning RCM theory when she was 6 years old and participated in her first music competition when she was 9. At the age of 12, Jay started teaching herself guitar and it quickly became her primary instrument, as it allowed her to channel the music she listened to and enjoyed. She has been taking lessons at Broadway music in Orangeville and started posting her own covers of Metallica songs which inspired her to start playing to Instagram. One of the covers ended up getting reposted by Metallica themselves! In joining the Studio, she hopes to inspire other people to fall in love with music because it’s such an important part of life.
